Venues for 2010 Commonwealth Games, New Delhi

The renowned Commonwealth Games are organized by the the Commonwealth Games Federation. Their vision is to go on to promote a unique friendly, world class games. Though the exact dates of the games have not been fixed for sure, however, they are roughly estimated to take place some time in the months of October and November.

A special Commonwealth Games village is under construction. It is being constructed in the heart of the city. This is near the IP Estate and the Akshardham Temple. The Commonwealth Games Village is being developed on a 40 acre land. The place is expected to accommodate about a 8,500 athletes. The existing venues are being renovated with the latest standards and facilities. On the other hand new venues are being constructed in the Games Village. The aquatics have been scheduled to take place at the SPM Swimming Pool Complex. The badminton competitions have been scheduled to take place at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.
