Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships

The Commonwealth Games is a multi-sport, multinational event that is held every four years. The Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships is one of the international events in the Commonwealth Games where swimmers from all the Commonwealth nations can participate in lifesaving sports events. The Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships is a part of the Commonwealth Games that involves the participation of elite athletes from all the Commonwealth of Nations.
Besides including many Olympic sports, the Commonwealth Games also includes some sports that are particularly played in the Commonwealth countries, i.e., regional games, like rugby, lawn bowls, and netball.
The sports that are currently included in the Commonwealth Games include Athletics, Aquatics, Badminton, Basketball, Shooting, Weightlifting, Triathlon, and Gymnastics, just to name a few.
Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships, 2003
The first Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships were held in the year 2003 in Durban, South Africa. Amongst the competitors in the Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships 2003, there was a competing team from Hong Kong.
Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships, 2006
The second Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships were held in the year 2006 in Bath, Somerset, England. The championship was held from September 24 to September 29, 2006 in Bath. The Commonwealth countries participating in the Commonwealth Pool Lifesaving Championships 2006 were: South Africa, Australia, England, Jersey, Scotland, Canada, Wales, and North Ireland. South Africa was the winner with 497 points, followed by Canada (455 points), and Australia (435 points).
