Scotland is the only country which has attended every Commonwealth Game. This refers to the premium sports events. It is held after every four years. The countries which participate in it are the ones which are members of the Commonwealth of Nations. This is an organization in which countries which were formerly all colonies of England, with England included, work towards achieving world peace and good governance. The games are a medium of promoting healthy competition. Commonwealth 2010 Games, New Delhi is the next in the series of Commonwealth Games to look forward to. Scotland has been participating in the games ever since the year 1930 where they were held at Hamilton. It is a neighbor to England in Britain. There has not been a year in which Scotland has not gone on to win medals. This is the only games in which Scotland participates as a nation.
Delhi is soon going to be seen playing host to the Commonwealth Games. A lot of preparations are going on in full swing. There is a games village constructed for the reception of the eminent players from different parts of the world
At the Commonwealth Games which were held at Melbourne in the year 2006, Scotland won the largest number of medals. They came back winning 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 16 Bronze medals. They sent in 166 athletes.

Thereby, the whole world is eagerly looking forward to their performance in the forthcoming games at Delhi. Some of the games which are going to be played are archery, aquatics, gymnastics, table tennis, and tennis, rugby, wrestling and cycling. Delhi was chosen as a venue on an elected basis. This was held at the Commonwealth Federation. It is the first time the capital of the country will be playing host to the game.
We are now eagerly looking forward to Scotland’s performance which will also contribute to a lot of fun and excitement.
