Fiji

The member nation sends in their eminent sportsmen. These games are held after every successive four years. Fiji first made its debut in the year 1938, then at 1970.
Fiji retuned to the games in the year 1950. It was in this year that it won not less than 5 medals. These included silver, gold and bronze medals too. In the years 1998 and 2002 it went on to win silver medals for the inaugural Rugbys 7s. It continues to offer tough competition to its co –teams. Fiji Continues to take the world by surprise through its enormous talent in the field of sports and games.
Earlier the country use to win at athletics .However, now it has begun to surprise us in the field of judo It fared very w ell a the sport in Manchester, taking back with it gold and Bronze medals.

Delhi was voted to play host to the approaching games. It is preparing itself. A games village is being constructed specially to put up the eminent athletes from different parts of the world. It will be the first time that the capital city of India will be seen hosting the Commonwealth sports. The games are scheduled between the 3rd- 14th of October. (2010)
The games which are going to be included are aquatics, athletes, archery, cycling, and gymnastics, and tennis, table tennis, cycling and wrestling. Countries from Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania amongst many will be seen participating in the games. We are eagerly looking forward to the performance of Fiji at the games. For the participating nations are reviewed too mutually decided on.
